Ghana’s U-23 Coach, Yussif Abubakar Passes On
Citi Sports confirmed this morning, the demise of Yussif Abubakar, Ghana’s Under-23 coach.
He is reported to have passed away at his residence hours after he had been discharged from the hospital where he received treatment for a mild ulcer. Prior to his role as the coach for Ghana’s U-23, he had served as a trainer for both Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak.
In the past, he also managed Hearts of Lions, and led them to a top for during the 2013/14 Ghana premier league.
Yussif Abubakar was to lead the U-23 team play against Togo this December as part of the AFCON qualifier.
He passed at the age of 60.
