Hand To Hold Foundation Donates To Manchie M/A Basic School
As part of its benevolence, the Hand to Hold Foundation through its annual initiative donated some items to the Manchie M/A Basic School at Medie-Manchie, a suburb of Amasaman to mark the last month of the year. Among the items were some stationery including exercise books, pencils, pens, mathematical sets and text books. This year, the foundation received assistance from Iqra Educational Center which supplied it with numerous text books.
The foundation was warmly received by the townspeople upon their arrival as they had become known to the people. In addition to the donation of items, the foundation held a capacity building workshop for the beneficiaries. Led by one of the leaders of the group, Abdul Jalill, the workshop turned out successful and interactive.
“Honestly, we know the twelve dual desks aren’t enough to solve all their infrastructural problems and we wish we could have given more. To see that this little gesture made a huge difference to the authorities of the school and in the lives of the students gives us great joy.” – Shawkiyya (a member of the group)
Previously, the foundation built a classroom block for the Manchie M/A Basic School through both internal and external sources of funds.
The foundation aims at reaching out to every deprived community in the country irrespective of religion, in order to promote quality education as stated in the UN sustainable goals.
